How can I book?

You can book via the book now button at the top right of this website, or you can email info@familiehotelalkmaar@live.nl.

What are the check-out times?

Check-out is possible between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. If desired, a late check-out can be requested for a fee.

I would like to cancel my booking, is that possible?

Until 7 days before arrival you can cancel your booking with us free of charge, after that this is not possible and we will charge 100%.

How much is the tourist tax?

Tourist tax in 2025: €2.90 p.p.p.n.

What are the check-in times?

Check-in with us is possible daily between 14:00 and 20:00.

Arriving late?
A late check-in can be requested up to 24 hours before arrival and is always subject to a fee.

Can I bring my luggage earlier than the check-in time?

Usually this is not a problem, please contact us about your arrival time and luggage delivery options.

Do I have to pay a deposit on arrival?

We require a deposit of €200 cash, or a working credit card.

Is smoking allowed in the hotel?

Smoking is not allowed in the rooms, apartments or studio. Smoking is allowed outside.

Smoking weed is NOT allowed on our property, even outside near the apartments.

If smoking does occur inside then we are forced to charge €150.

Location & Accessibility

Where is the best place to park?

We have a limited number of parking spaces that you can reserve from €18.50 per night. All our parking spaces are within walking distance of our hotel.

Do you have electric charging stations?

Unfortunately, our parking lots do not yet have electric charging stations.

Can I come to your doorstep by car?

Basically, no. We are in the car-free center. Is it really desirable to come in front?

If so, please contact us about the hours when you do get in front.

How far is your accommodation from the Alkmaar train station?

Alkmaar train station is about a 15-minute walk. You can also catch the bus to the canal quay. From here it is about another 8-minute walk.

If coming by cab, please give Laat 123, Alkmaar as your address. From here it is a 1-minute walk.

Facilities & Services

Is there a reception?

There is no reception at this time. This is because our reception is being remodeled.
We are of course present during check-in hours. Also, we can be easily reached on WhatsApp every day until 10pm.

Are pets allowed?

Our hotel is unfortunately not suitable for pets.

Are towels and bed linens provided?

Towels and bed linens are provided in all units.

Is there an elevator in your hotel?

No, unfortunately there is no elevator in our hotel (yet).

Are you mobility impaired? If so, please contact us about your options before booking.

Can I safely park my bike with you?

Sure! We have a limited number of spots to safely park your bike.

Is there free Wi-Fi?

Our hotel features free super-fast Wi-Fi.

Can I also have breakfast at your place?

Sure! Breakfast with us is available daily from 8:30 a.m. and costs €14.95 p.p.

Is there a laundry service available?

On most apartments there is a washing machine you can use. If you are staying in one of the rooms or studio, ask on arrival if you can use the washing machine.
